[NEWS] JYJ, Park Yoohwan, Song Ji Hyo Become “Mango Santas”, “Let’s Plant 20,000 Mango Trees In Sudan, Africa!”

With Christmas coming soon, JYJ, Song Ji Hyo and Park Yoohwan have participated in a “Plant 20,000 Mango Trees Of Hope In Sudan, Africa” project.

Recently, via the C-JeS website,  JYJ, Song Ji Hyo and Park Yoohwan communicate that “For the children of Sudan, a country which has lost hope due to long periods of Civil War,  how about giving them a present of mango trees to provide them with food and shelter?”

This mango tree support is a project by World Vision in aid of children in Sudan, Africa. The artists of C-JeS will be participating in this project together with their fans at the end of the year, activity promoting with growing 20,000 mango trees as their goal.

Each sapling will require 10,000 won in support, and C-JeS will be sending those who support this project a message of thanks from the artists, as well as an autographed photo.

Aside from this, Song Ji Hyo said, “The children have been starving due to a long civil war in their country. We hope that these children can receive our “Mango Tree Santa” gifts. This year-end, It would be great if everyone could join this project with a warm heart. “

Also, JYJ said “We hope that, together with our fans who have been protecting and loving us, we will be able to create a forest of lush greenery. The lifespan of a mango tree is 100 years, and bears the significance of being together for a long time.” Park Yoohwan said, “The mango trees take 3 years to mature fully.”

JYJ, Song Ji Hyo and Park Yoohwan also participated in the charity photoshoot for fashion magazine ELLE, and JYJ donated 200 million won to Thailand, which is suffering from one of the greatest floods in history.

[NEWS] JYJ Donate 200 Million won To World Vision, “We Want To Help Those In Need In Thailand”

JYJ (Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu) donated 200 million Won to World Vision, the total amount the organization was hoping to collect for their second round of aid for those suffering in Thailand due to the recent floods.

Soon after the worst flood in Thailand’s history hit the nation, JYJ posted a video on their official homepage and expressed their sorrow as they stated, “We worry about the safety of our fans. Also, as there are many staff members who we’ve worked with in Thailand, we hope everyone is able to find stability in their lives as soon as possible.”

Now, JYJ have decided to donate 200 million Won to World Vision, the total amount the organization was hoping to collect for their second round of aid which will help with restoration, as well as provide daily necessities, sanitation, education and psychotherapy for children.

The donation will be used to provide necessities such as meals, emergency provisions, mosquito nets, blankets, water filters, drinking water and books.

JYJ stated, “We learned a lot from seeing just how much help our donation in Japan helped those who were mentally and physically strained from the earthquake and its aftermath. We heard that the situation in Thailand is severe and with the nation submerged in water, the aftermath and damage was quite extensive. As we receive so much love from Thailand, we decided that we had to do whatever we could to help. We hope the Korean community in Thailand and our Thai fans stay strong and find stability in their lives as soon as possible.”

Meanwhile, JYJ are also working on a child sponsorship program with Song Ji Hyo and Park Yoohwan. On the 25th, with Christmas only a month away, C-JeS will be releasing a video in Korea, English and Japanese to promote the ‘Mango Tree Project’, which aims to plant 20,000 mango trees of hope in Africa.

[NEWS] JYJ To Release A Special Edition Album, Pre-Orders Flood In

JYJ will be releasing a special edition album.

According to JYJ’s agency on the 11th of November, JYJ will be releasing a special edition of their first Korean album ‘In Heaven’, which kicked up a storm in the industry as it sold over 100,000 copies in just three days.

The upcoming special album, which has been created in response to the explosive sales and to thank the fans for their love for JYJ, who just ended their European tour in success’, will have additional tracks that feature remixes of their songs, as well as a DVD of the group’s music videos and making film.

Remix versions of ‘In Heaven’ and ‘Get Out’, the two double title songs from the original album, have been included while the DVD will feature the making film and music videos of these two songs, as well the QR movies.

The ten minute version of the ‘In Heaven’ music video, which became a hot topic as it depicted a love story between Kim Junsu and Song Ji Hyo, will be released through the special album and is expected to wow fans as a high quality music drama.

A representative of JYJ stated, “This special edition album is basically a fan service DVD. Fans will be able to watch the making film and never-before-seen moments of JYJ’s album jacket photoshoot and music video filming dates. JYJ put more effort into this album as they have not had many opportunities to perform their songs on broadcasted programs, so the end result was great,” and “Pre-orders began yesterday and in one day, the number of pre-orders surpassed the initial quantity we were expecting.

JYJ stated, “The ‘In Heaven’ album is very meaningful to us as it contains our own compositions. We prepared this special edition album for our fans. Touring Japan and Europe for three weeks has given us confidence and we’ve set a greater goal of making our world tours of a higher caliber in the future. We’ll continue to work hard to create great music for our fans.”

The special edition album is currently available for pre-orders at offline stores such as Kyobo Hottracks, Synnara, and Evan Records and at online sites such as yes24, Interpark and Aladin. It will be released on the 21st of November.

[NEWS] Seven Natural Wonders Of The World Promoters… “Even Park Ji Sung And JYJ Were With Us”

With Jeju Island chosen as one of the new Seven Natural Wonders of the World by the N7W Foundation, it can be said that this victory was thanks to the domestic and overseas honorary ambassadors of Jeju Island’s campaign. Starting with American football player Hines Ward in May, approximately 100 people were chosen as honorary ambassadors this year.

Headed by actress Go Du Shim, who was born in Jeju, the team consisted of Park Eun Hae, Choi Jung Won, Kim Tae Hee, Chae Rim, Han Jae Seok, Park Sun Young and Park Sang Won. Yoon Do Hyun, Bae Chul Soo, Cultwo, and mountaineer Eom Hong Gil contributed as well.Hallyu stars Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu from JYJ, who have countless overseas fans supporting them, also took part in the campaign.

Sports stars who participated include Manchester United’s Park Ji Sung, PGA golf player Choi Gyung Joo and Yang Yong Eun. Jiao Zhimin, a former member of China’s national table tennis team, also helped out.

However, not all the honorary ambassadors were Korean. Paul Potts, who became a star through ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and 2008 Nobel Prize for Literature recipient Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio also took part in helping Jeju Island.

It was thanks to the efforts of these domestic and overseas honorary ambassadors that Jeju Island clinched their victory and became one of the new Seven Natural Wonders of the World.

The C-Jes Entertainment artists have gathered together to “share.”

Song Ji-Hyo, JYJ (Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun & Kim Junsu), and Park Yoohwan are working together with fashion magazine ELLE, and have participated in a charity photoshoot in aid of the needy in Africa as well as within Korea.

The five artists who are participating in ELLE’s annual charity project “Share Happiness” had a happy photoshoot under the autumn sun.  With a “vacation” for JYJ, a “couple having a picnic” for Song Ji Hyo and Park Yoohwan,  and a “camping” for the brothers Park Yoochun and Park Yoohwan as their concepts for the photoshoot, they showed a variety of warm and free images.

Song Ji Hyo said, “I had fun partaking in a meaningful photoshoot with my fellow label mates, and I had a great time because the big camping site made it feel like we were really on a vacation. We all paired up with a child through World Vision and though I’ve only seen my paired child through a photograph, I’m happy because I feel like he’s been a part of my family all along and I know we’re going to have such a beautiful relationship.”

JYJ said, “As the UNAIDS ambassadors, and with 1 December being World AIDS day, we want to communicate a relevant message. We received a great amount of love and concern throughout this year, and we want to participate for the sake of the less fortunate. With our participation in the ELLE charity photoshoot as well as the concurrent “Mango Tree project,” we hope that we can spend the end of this year with our fans in a memorable, meaningful way.

Park Yoohwan said, “I still can’t believe that I’ve taken part in a photoshoot with my seniors, and I was really excited and happy because of it. Everyone treats me well because I’m the youngest in our agency and they said lots of great things throughout the photoshoot. It’s been an unforgettable experience and I enjoyed every moment of it because it’s for a good cause.”

[NEWS] Kim Junsu Makes A Mistake While Announcing The Winner, Jeon Soo Gyung Says, “This Noona Will Help You”

During the 17th Korea Musical Awards ceremony that was held on the 14th, Kim Junsu made a mistake while announcing the winner and was saved by his partner Jeon Soo Gyung and her experience and quick-thinking.

Though it was his turn to announce the winner of the Best Director Award, Kim Junsu declared that he would be announcing the winner of the Best Script Award, which had just been given out. Jeon Soo Gyung quickly came to the rescue as she said, “It’s because we didn’t put away the last envelope,” and helped Kim Junsu, who seemed quite flustered by his mistake.

Jeon Soo Gyung continued to comfort him as she said, “This kind of stuff should be dealt with by me, as your noona,” and “It’s okay, it’s okay.” Her quick-thinking had the audience smiling and the announcement was then made without any further issues.

Kim Junsu appeared at the 17th Korea Musical Awards that was held at the Olympic Hall on the 14th of November to present an award with the musical actress Jeon Soo Gyung. When she asked Kim Junsu, “Do you have any musical songs you could sing for me?” the crowd burst out in applause.

Kim Junsu kept his gaze on his counterpart as he sang ‘Dancing Queen’ from the musical ‘Mamma Mia!’ and he wowed viewers with the single line, ‘Remember, you really are the greatest dancing queen’. As the awards ceremony was aired live on SBS, this was the first time in a while that viewers had the opportunity to hear Kim Junsu sing on a broadcasted program.
